Katarzyna Helińska
one of two founding partners of K. Helińska & Partners, engaged in legal and tax projects for both domestic and foreign investors in Poland.
Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Poznań and a legal counsel. She has attended several courses and professional training sessions including those at Bonn- and Berlin-based law offices.
Katarzyna has been participating in many seminars on tax and legal aspects of Poland-based investments throughout Poland and Germany.
She was previously with D. Janczak & Partners, a law office associated with Ernst & Young. Katarzyna was working as a legal counsel at the branch office in Szczecin. She was both with Ernst & Young and D. Janczak & Partners until mid 2001. She was there managing legal and tax due diligence projects. She was actively involved in intellectual property-oriented projects as well. Currently she successfully carries out civil and administrative proceedings concerning e.g. investment processes.
Her speciality are real estate- and investment-related issues, commercial and civil law and legal aspects of restructuring. Katarzyna has an extensive professional experience in serving national, multi-national and international clients, e.g. the Roca group.

Her experience includes, amongst others:

  • civil and administrative procedures
  • trademark registration both domestic and international
  • company formation and group restructuring
  • due diligence reviews for foreign investors in Poland
  • conducting legal negotiations and drafting commercial contracts
Katarzyna speaks fluent German and English.

Piotr Heliński
the other of two founding partners of K. Helińska & Partners, also engaged in legal and tax projects for both domestic and foreign investors in Poland.
Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Szczecin.
He has attended several highly specialized courses and professional training sessions on tax issues, including domestic and international tax planning. Piotr has been participating in and co-organizing many seminars on tax aspects of Poland-based investments, including those within special economic zones. He has passed the examination in English before the Scottish Board of Education.
He was previously with Ernst & Young. Piotr was working as a manager of the tax department at the Szczecin office. He was with Ernst & Young until mid 2001. He was there managing tax projects including due dilligence and tax planning projects.
He specializes in corporate income tax issues and overall tax planning. He shows extensive professional experience in serving national, multi-national and international clients, e.g. the Bittburger and Roca groups.

His experience includes, amongst others:

  • domestic and international tax planning
  • company formation and group restructuring including tax aspects
  • tax due diligence reviews for foreign investors in Poland

Piotr speaks fluent English.

Paulina Wi¶niewska
Legal counsel

She joined K. Helińska i Wspólnicy sp. k. in 2010, shortly after graduating from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Szczecin. In the same year she began her legal training at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers. On July 5, 2013 she made an oath and received authorization to practice as a legal adviser.

Paulina Wi¶niewska specializes in domestic and international transport law. She has experience in commercial law, business law and intellectual property rights. She takes an active part in the registration of business entities, in their current legal services, recovery of debtors and representation in front of courts and administrative bodies.
